Formed by the excavation of a 11-hectare site, this artificial lake sits at the base of the Burj Khalifa and is part of the larger 300-hectare man-made water feature network. It supplies the waters for the Dubai Fountain and serves as a central plaza ringed by the Dubai Mall and luxury hotels.
